Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that inspires girls in third through eighth grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident. The program teaches critical life skills, encourages personal development, and fosters team building and community service. Over the course of 10 weeks, girls meet twice a week and develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. Trained volunteer coaches lead the girls through a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
At the conclusion of the program, the girls are physically and emotionally prepared to complete a 5K race to celebrate their accomplishments throughout the season!
